House on Haunted Hill

Ten thousand dollars to anyone who lasts the night.

An eccentric millionaire invites five strangers to a party in a rented mansion with a murderous reputation. Each guest who is still alive at dawn collects ten thousand dollars. The doors lock at midnight, the party favours are loaded pistols, and nobody is quite sure who is haunting whom.

Its copyright was not renewed, and the film is widely circulated as a US public-domain title.
